Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (Homecare) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to clients in their homes or community settings. The role involves preparing clinical and progress notes, coordinating services, and acting as a liaison between the treating physician, the care team, and family members. The nurse provides patient and family counseling, participates in in-service programs, and supervises and trains other nursing personnel to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and record vital signs; promptly report abnormal values to the treating physician.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
Provide care for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, colostomy, pacemakers, peritoneal dialysis, and those on ventilators.
Deliver nursing care to clients with conditions such as hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell’s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminal illnesses, and elderly care needs.
Care for newborns, pre- and post-partum mothers, and physically challenged individuals requiring special care at home or in educational facilities.
Assist with mobility, exercises, and accompanying clients to social events, hospitals, and treatment facilities.
Provide wound care to prevent and manage pressure ulcers.
Maintain accurate patient records, including condition, progress, procedures, and medical events, and report to supervisors or physicians.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
2–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Current valid nursing registration in the country of training and/or last employment.
Eligibility for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.
Strong homecare and clinical nursing skills, including infection control, medication administration, physiological knowledge, and health promotion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
